Abstract

We present a novel dispersion-managed fiber that effectively suppresses fiber nonlinearities such as four wave mixing. The chromatic dispersion gradually increases from -6 to +4 ps/km/nm along a 25 km long fiber with an average chromatic dispersion of -0.7 ps/km/nm at 1550 nm.
