OFDM Star Network Based on Homodyne Detection and Laser-free Nodes

Abstract

In this paper an OFDM star network that is based on the homodyne detection and requires no light sources at nodes is proposed for reliable and cost-effective implementation. Characteristics of this network such as signal-to-noise ratio and optical power requirement are discussed.
