Analysis of Directional-Coupler-Type All-Optical Switch with Tapered-Waveguide Structure

Abstract

We proposed a directional-coupler-type all-optical switch with a tapered-waveguide structure to improve the photoexcited carrier uniformity. Good extinction ratio and low control light energy for switching were numerically demonstrated.
