Feasibility study of an optical bus utilizing 0.98-µm low-power MQW vertical transmission optical amplifiers

Abstract

The performance of an optical bus utilizing Fabry-Perot-type InGaAs MQW vertical transmission optical amplifiers (VTOAs) is analyzed. A low-power operation and a superior cascadability of several-hundred boards are predicted.
