Cascaded Higher-order Soliton Compression in Silicon Nanophotonic Wire Waveguide at 2.8 μm

Abstract

We devise a silicon nanophotonic wire waveguide to realize mid-infrared cascaded higher-order soliton compression at 2.8 μm, which provides a high compression factor of 28.76. The compressed pulse remains hyperbolic secant pulse shape.
