WDM Transmission over Dispersion Shifted Fiber in L-Band with 25 dB Span Loss

Abstract

Low error-rates were obtained from the transmission of twenty 10 Gb/s channels with 100 GHz spacing over four 80 km (25dB) spans of DSF in the lower wavelength region of the L-band where the nonlinear effects are largest due to lower dispersion.
