Abstract

We demonstrate high density (2Tb/mm2), very low energy per bit (<2pJ/bit), high sensitivity (<−21dBm), and low crosstalk (<−20dB) in various configurations for optical transmission using high speed blue LEDs and integrated photodetector/amplifiers fabricated in 130nm CMOS process.
