Abstract

Among the economic incentives driving process designers, whether in the chemical, power or automotive fields, to get SFFK-enhanced efficiency from their machines, control technology will play a major role. When increased numbers of variables are to be measured, it is obvious that (1) the reliability of each component of the control system must be high, and (2) the cost per loop must be reduced.
