Spatially resolved magnetic field measurement using polarization-sensitive reflectometry-based spun optical fibre sensor

Abstract

We present a polarization-sensitive reflectometry-based technique for distributed magnetic field measurement using a single polarization axis analysis in spun fibres. Sub-cm range spatial resolution was achieved with the technique when tested with an MRI scanner.
