Filter Design Considerations for the Visual Infrared Mapping Spectrometer of NASA’s Mars Observer Mission

Abstract

Considerations for the design, fabrication and testing of 9 pass-band fitters deposited on two substrates to cover 0.30 to 5.54 μm range. These filters are used to separate different reflected orders of a diffraction grating.
