Optical Coatings for Deuterium Fluoride (DF) Chemical Laser System

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Deuterium fluoride laser system brings an interesting challenge to the development of optical coatings. A wide variety of different specifications, often contraditory, has to be fullfilled. The choice of deposition process and coating materials is critical with respect to losses, damage threshold, optical specifications, their long term stability and other optical properties.
