Abstract
Requirements for the monitoring of pollutants and industrial by-products emitted into the atmosphere have become more demanding, revealing limitations of traditional methods. Optical Parametric Oscillators (OPO) incorporated as sources into LIDAR systems will allow broad spectral coverage as well as providing both high spectral and spatial resolutions.
