Cavity Optomechanical Sensing and Manipulation of an Atomic Persistent Current

Abstract

We provide a first platform based on cavity optomechanics to characterize and manipulate the rotation of annularly-trapped atomic superfluids with minimal destruction, in situ and practically in real-time.
