Experimental Demonstration of Nonlinear Equalizer for Self-Homodyne Detection Using Indirect Learning Digital Pre-Distorter and Neural Networks

Abstract

Indirect learning digital pre-distorter is employed for self-homodyne detection of high-order QAM, showing significant performance gain in an offline experiment. Benefit of the neural networks based nonlinear post-equalizer is also evaluated and compared.
