Performance Comparison of Self-Homodyne Detection of Different Modulation Formats Using Advanced Impairments Mitigation Methods

Abstract

We evaluate the transmission performance of self-homodyne detection by using 16QAM and 32QAM modulations with dual polarization over 50km of SMF. The advanced channel impairments mitigation methods are adapted for different modulation orders.
