Iodine Photodissociation in Solution: New Transient Absorptions

Not Accessible

Abstract

We report new visible transient absorption measurements on I2 photodissociation and recombination in solution, with improved time resolution and greatly enhanced signal-to-noise ratio. We also report the first picosecond absorption studies on I2 in the ultraviolet. New short-time transients are found in both the red and ultraviolet regions.
