Abstract

From a qualitative standpoint, the vapor phase molecule triethylenediamine (DABCO) has a disposition of energy levels1 that seems favorable for a demonstration of gain by two-photon stimulated emission (TPSE).2 Several material parameters, knowledge of which is required to assess the feasibility of the above experiment, have recently been determined. These include the population dynamics and absorption spectrum of the two-photon emitting à (3s(+)) state.2 In this talk some details are given about the measurement of yet another important parameter of the system, the two-photon cross-section δ.
