Abstract

We report here the study of excited state proton transfer reactions in hydrogen bonded complexes. Specifically, methanol and water complexes with 3-hydroxyflavone (3HF) and 2-hydroxy-4, 5-benzotropone (HBT) can be readily formed in 10K argon matrices.
