Three additional polarizers enable transient absorption spectroscopy to resolve cross peak features like 2D spectroscopy

Abstract

We demonstrate a polarization scheme, <0°,0°,θ°,-θ°>, that eliminates diagonal peaks and isolates cross peaks. We use the scheme with transient absorption spectroscopy to measure the cross peaks that are often only resolved by 2D spectroscopy.
