Ultrabroad band collinear mid-infrared optical parametric amplifier pumped by a Tm:YAP laser

Abstract

Multi-octave spanning mid-infrared pulses are generated with a collinear optical parametric amplifier (OPA) based on a gallium selenide crystal. The OPA is pumped by femtosecond 2 μm pulses from a Tm:YAP regenerative amplifier.
