At some point in your career you will likely have a manuscript rejected.  As noted in the Addressing Reviewer Comments section, it isn’t easy to receive criticism of your work no matter how constructive it may be.

While rejection is difficult and uncomfortable, it can be used as a learning opportunity. After all, many rejected manuscripts are ultimately published, perhaps in another journal, after revision.

This section will help you to objectively consider why your manuscript was rejected and to identify possible next steps to take.
