Abstract

The objective of the Consortium on Wideband All-Optical Networks (AON) is to develop affordable, high-speed bandwidth-on-demand optical networks for DoD (e.g. global-grid) and civilian (e.g. global information infrastructure) applications. The Consortium has been funded for a period of 36 months in two phases with an overlapping period.
