Abstract

In co-packaged optics (CPO), where photonic and electrical circuits are integrated on the same board, high-capacity WDM transmission is performed by modulating multi-wavelength light with a bunch of micro-ring modulators (MRM) [1, 2]. Although CPO with internal light source has advantages in many aspects, high failure rate of LD is a big concern [3]. To lower the failure rate of CPO, reducing the number of LDs is most effective.
