Optomechanical microgear cavity

Abstract

We propose a ring-like optomechanical cavity using a single-etch phononic mirror. Radiation-limited Qopt(mech) are both over 109 for a 4.5 GHz mechanical mode. Optomechanical coupling deviates around 15% from the ideal floating ring.
