Simple Multi-Core Fiber Fabrication Method

Abstract

We report a simple multi-core fiber fabrication method that uses standard manufacturing processes except for a stacking step, made with a limited number of adjusting rods. A 4-core fiber with 125µm-cladding and 200µm-coating diameters, and good optical and mechanical properties is fabricated using this method.
