Abstract

We demonstrate a 1,856 × 1,856 optical circuit switch utilizing C-band tuneable local oscillators (LOs) for coherent detection. Hitless and fast (<14.8 μs) LO wavelength tuning is realized using a newly fabricated 8-cascaded silicon ring filter having wide free spectrum range (FSR) of >35 nm.
