Focal Properties of Uncorrected Geodesic Waveguide Lenses*

Abstract

In recent years a number of researchers have developed a wide variety of lenses for integrated optics.1 We report on our efforts to extend this area of research to the applications stage by evaluating the quality of geodesic waveguide lenses and using such lenses to perform one-dimensional Fourier transformations.
