Abstract

In a diffraction grating WDM using an array of single-mode fibers1 of mode radius ωo, equispaced with a distance Δx, the spectral ratio R = (dλ)/(Δλ) between the channel width dλ and the distance between channels Δλ depends on the ratio Δx/ωo.
