Reconstruction of a refractive-index distribution with axial symmetry: exact formulas

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

It is well known that an axisymmetric refractive index distribution can be reconstructed using experimental data generated by various optical experiments: direct observation of refraction angles, shadow analysis, spatial filtering, moire fringes, interferometry and speckle photography.
