622 Mbit/s optically discriminated signal transportation over 350 km using a Side-Injection-Light-Controlled Bistable Laser Diode

Abstract

A 622 Mbit/s signal optically discriminated by a bistable laser diode is successfully transported over 350 km through optical discrimination. This optical discrimination is achieved by a newly-developed Side-Injection-Light-Controlled bistable laser diode.
