Modeling of x-ray diffraction by multilayer mirrors, gratings and zone plates

Abstract

The diffraction problem consists in solving the Helmholtz equation for the tangential electric field component φ in the TE polarization case. The equation is: where k is the wavenumber, ε(R) is the complex dielectric constant and R is the position vector.
