Abstract
The CaF2 crystal is suitable object for coherent ion-ion interaction studies because a pair formation is favored by charge compensation at Re3+ impurity doping. We used accumulated photon echo and absorption spectroscopic methods to study the splitting of Stark levels of the 4I9/2 × 4I9/2 and 4I9/2 × 4G5/2 manifolds of Nd3+ -Nd3+ pair in CaF2 crystal for zero magnetic field and 9-100K temperature range. We obtained diagram of singlet-triplet (S-T) splitting (see Figure) of the ground Stark level within magnetic dipole-dipole and exchange interactions and calculated the isotropic exchange interaction constant (-0.094 cm-1)
