Abstract

Many research efforts in high density optical recording have been carried out. In high linear density recording, the digital video disk system1) has already been produced using the PRML (Partial Response Maximum Likelihood) technology. In high track density recording, the authors have proposed the land/groove recording technology, using a 3 beam optical head and a crosstalk canceller2),3).
