Optical Subsystem Interconnections for the RWC-1 Massively Parallel Computer

Abstract

Optical subsystem interconnections are the key to developing massively parallel computers. An RWC-1 testbed system is demonstrated using 16 12-channel fully integrated optical modules. This system can achieve 4.8-Gbps throughput inter-board optical interconnections.
