Waist diameter effect over sensitivity of temperature and strain sensor based on Multicore fiber tapering

Abstract

This paper analyses the waist diameter effect over the sensitivity of a sensor based on a multicore fiber taper. We report the maximum sensitivities of 56.94 pm/°C and -5.2 pm/µɛ to measure temperature and strain variation, respectively.
