Automatic design of multilayer optical coatings

Not Accessible

Abstract

With the advent of high-speed personal computers and modern algorithms, it is possible for the designer to create a wide variety of coating designs automatically. This capability is important because, in many cases, the designer may not have the time and resources to craft a design manually. For unusual designs, where there may be little or no theory to use as a guide, automatic design is indispensable.
