How and When Your Paper Will Be Published

Journals may publish their content at various time intervals and in one or more formats.  It is important to know how your article will be disseminated.  Here are some examples:

• Format
  • Print only.
  • Online only.
  • Print and online.
• Continuous online publication models
  • Early online publication of final, composed articles in advance of an issue.
  • Online publication of final, composed articles with no specific issues.
  • Online publication of the accepted versions of manuscripts prior to composition or copyediting.
• Publication by issue only
  • Final, composed versions of an article publish in an issue; articles are not published online in advance of an issue.
  • Issue may be published in print format, online format, or both.
