Supplemental Material Guidelines

Some journals will permit the publication of supplemental material. It should provide additional substantive information that is directly relevant to the article content but is either in a format that cannot easily be included within the article or is not essential for understanding the conclusions. In the latter case, the published article must be able to stand on its own and be self-explanatory without the supplemental material. 

Examples of supplemental material include additional text, figures and equations, multimedia files, machine-readable data tables, large data sets, and design and code files. Such materials are subject to peer-review along with the rest of the manuscript and are expected to be uploaded during the submission process.
