6. Writing Your Manuscript

Title

Crafting a Title

Your title will provide the first impression of your manuscript.  Readers, editors, and reviewers will use your title to decide whether to continue reading or peer reviewing the article. Indexers and online search engines will use your title to classify and rank your article in online search results. It is therefore vital to make your title informative and accurate, yet concise. Simple, brief titles tend to be clearer and more attractive to readers, and some journals impose character or word limits.
